It's Bret's fault so much. If this makes no sense to you, good.

Straight to answering a challenge.

"Check."

"Oh, you jerk."

"Strong language, O'Brien."

"That's not my name."

"I know what your name is."

"You should, since you named me, but you just got it wrong."

"You're kidding."

"Of course not."

"Bitch."

"Dummkopf."

"Oh, German. Clever. When'd you learn to insult in German?"

"I speak it fluently, silly."

"How many languages, now?"

"Twelve."

"Nice. And in such little time."

"Eternity to read, my dear."

"Checkmate."

"Oh, you --"

"Got you distracted and tricked you, Katie Driscoll of Ogunquit, Maine, who somehow has a British accent."

"Do you honestly think no one will catch that reference, Mr Alexander?"

"You make it sound like jurors read."

"They don't?"

"Not much. And anyway, I'm Arthur Driscoll starting tomorrow."

"Then I sound British due to being British, we're related, are we not?"

"... Sort of."

"What?"

"Never mind. Now. A plan. We need to get out that door and make the rendezvous - you still want to go to Vegas?"

"Maybe."

"Good, that's where I told the birdman, the good doctor and the Prestons to meet us --"

"Wait. That last name. It was plural."

"Invited the whole family."

"Are you mad? They're children!"

"They're talented children."

"What was that about out the door?"

"A plan. Supply me with a plan."

"And if we die, it isn't my fault --"

"-- and just remember no matter what I love you."

"What?"

"Because you're my wife."

"Oh. Of course."

"Now. Plan, Queen of Literacy! Plan!"

"... Get in the desk."

"Excuse me?"

"Have you never read His Girl Friday? Get in the desk!"

"-- hot damn, woman, you have a memory. I bet you only read that once --"

"Never finished it, actually. Now get in the damnable desk, would you? I know it's cramped in there, I'll get you some food in a moment."

"This is making it hard to breathe."

"Hello, front desk? Yes, Margarethe Boucher, room 612. I need some help getting a bit of furniture out. A piano lift would suit, I think. I'll accompany the baggage."
