Title: Titles are overrated. Besides, these are vignettes. SO THERE.
Fandom: [livejournal.com profile] dirty_life.
Characters: Brice Camlin & Hesione Pree.
Prompt: Five Brice/Hes kisses.
Rating: PG.
Notes: For [livejournal.com profile] madbonnycaptain, of course. :) Also, I wrote this during class, and they are not meant to be strung together so much as five separate incidents. Also, I believe they are possibly all run-on sentences.

There was the first time -- the time in which she kept stumbling due to those awkward Court shoes, and after the fifth or sixth trip and stumble, the fourth or fifth time he had to catch her, and it got to be just too many times in each other's arms not to get around to kissing.

There was Cyril's eighteenth birthday, in which the entire thing was just too fancy for any self-respecting rebel to stand, and the two of them escaped for the reason of her sanity, and returned later than expected due to the fact that they'd learned, at sixteen and fourteen, that they had begun to find each others' company even nicer than they'd imagined they might.

That one unfortunate time, her magic got the better of them both; when she had gotten visionary glimpses of another's lips on his, and it took him some time to convince her that the other had begun it and he had finished it off just as abruptly as the other had attempted to get close, and it took a second kiss in the very same spot for her to see.

One bittersweet evening, when the sky had been grey for weeks, the weather bleak, she climbed -- gracefully, now, after years of practice -- from her balcony window and slipped down into his waiting arms, explaining how his touch was bright and golden, and the pleasant music of a kiss could surely lighten up the day.

And then there was that other time -- that one evening, when evening had turned to night, and before they knew it they'd fallen asleep curled up in a safe, hidden street corner, and woke up just as close and covered in the morning's dew; she afraid of her family's reaction, and he glad to give her a gesture of good luck before seeing her safely home in the shadows.
