Grégoire Jourdain is handsome and charming, and devious enough to charm almost anyone's socks off. He has shaggy blond hair, arresting blue eyes, an irrepressible French accent, too much of a curiosity when it comes to the effects of tobacco and recreational drugs, and a crush as big as the sky on one Morgan Brandt.
Morgan Brandt has a reputation for being unpredictable, is the kind of cheerful that people can't usually handle, and never lets anything get her down. Anything. Ever. (Usually.) One of a big family, she's quiet in large groups and noisy in small ones. She's got a fondness for mod culture and guitars, protests school sports, and rides horses. (Like her entire family, Morgan has dark brown hair and pale greyish-green eyes.)
Catherine "Cat" Moore is the ringleader of the tiny group of friends that mostly just includes her boyfriend (see below) and Morgan, though they adopt Grégoire, who they nickname 'Greg' on September 4th, 1964 outside the bus stop. She's tall and blonde, pretty and outspoken and, yes, plays field hockey.
Nicholas Walsh (brown hair, shorter than Catherine in height and hair length) can best be described in four words: "Catherine's boyfriend" and "means well." He's good at math and not terrible with languages. (Rue, however, is bad at math, and that originally said 'three words.')
Chelsea Brandt is Morgan's older sister. She's a grade ahead of Morgan and a year and a half older, and small enough to fit inside lockers. Very popular. Has a boyfriend, Corin, who lives in Montréal. They eventually will marry, but not in this story.
