This is an urban fantasy-esque story about a pair of teenagers in the early 1960s, by madbonnycaptain (Beth) and metaphor (Rue). It is set in the smallish town of Mamaroneck, New York, an actual city just north of Manhattan. (Rue spent a lot of her life there, and actually went to the main high school in the story.) A couple of the Mamaroneck denizens who appear in the story are real people. We don't have their permission for them to be showing up here, but hope they won't mind. The fantasy element of the story doesn't solely belong to us; most of it was actually created by chimbleysweep (Scout), and is property of Scout and of Dirty Life. While one of us is very familiar with Mamaroneck, we were both born in the 1980s, and therefore aren't really all that familiar with the way things were 60s. Era information therefore might be a little bit fishy, but we're going to do our best.

Explicit sex might appear in this story, but we're not sure yet. Sorry.
